If you're round the area pop along to Sale Waterpark. Plenty of parking available. A popular cafƩ on the road leading in has outdoor seating offering views of the birdfeeders , popular with the resident birds . Great opportunities for photographers . A lovely walk round the lake will allow you to admire the wildlife on the water. Plenty of cheeky ducks , Canada geese and the beautiful swans with the cygnets popping up to have their photographs taken. Cormorants patrolling the lake are amazing to view . If you are lucky you may catch sight of the stunning kingfishers that hunt round the lake & nearby streams . The restaurant at the waterpark offers quality food and the ground level cafƩ offers delicious day time food together with a good choice of drinks including coffee to warm you after a walk in the cold . Ideal for all age groups . A real gem with easy access from the M60 . Highly...

Been enjoying the park and facilities for 20 years now. Did an RYA dinghy sailing course here years ago - and we were able to eat lunch outside each day still wearing our wetsuits - great hot showers available too. The new downstairs bar / cafe with indoor and outdoor tables (some with heaters) is a great recent addition which we enjoyed last weekend. A nice loop of the lake here is very therapeutic followed by lunch or dinner upstairs in the restaurant with massive windows to enjoy the panoramic views of the lake and park - great for Sunday lunch or to hold a celebration meal in a venue which is unique in Manchester, if not the North West. For a longer walk - the park is connected to Chorlton water park by simply walking along the canal. Tired of all your usual walking routes? - try this for size, you won't be...

Don’t see the attraction, the top car park is full of people that refuse to park properly and are rude. The car park near the restaurant is full of doggers, including in the day. I went earlier with my daughter and was propositioned twice! The butty van on rifle road is surrounded by police and if you stop for a coffee then you’re stared at and made to feel unwelcome. I’ve been shouted and swore at by so many elderly people with out of control dogs I don’t think I’ll. we waste my time and come back. I certainly my wouldn’t take my grandchildren there. I’d that’s how the more mature residents of Sale act then they can keep their water park, that’s loads of lovely places around that aren’t controlled by the selfish and...
