Parking available along the road in a few places but good grassed areas also available No amenities here The walk up to the summit and the trig point is fairly straight forward and takes about 10 minutes Good views available of the surrounding areas

A lovely place for a wild and windy walk - fantastic views of the sea and the fells. Delightfully unspoilt.

What better than a hike up Birkrigg Common on the Furness Peninsula to inhale glorious fresh air and as the old saying goes "blow away the cobwebs"! At its summit peak of 136 metres a vast area as far as the Yorkshire Dales and distant Blackpool across Morecambe Bay can be viewed. Naturally rich in Limestone it boasts several footpaths in the area to explore with arguably an ancient Bronze Age stone circle as the significant historical feature...

Beautiful walks here but again, another place been spoilt by mountain bikes. Then they turn out their kids on bikes and churn it up even more, damaging the infrastructure of...

A great place for a walk, run or ride, with some incredible views of the Cumbrian mountains to the north, Black Combe and the Isle of Man to the west, and Blackpool and beyond...
