Spent the day here today walking around and looking for cool stones. Had food at 'Dwy Afon' which is situated on site by the car park. I went for the small breakfast which went down very well and very fast (YUM!!!) And My Girlfriend went for Vegan Cheese, Tomato and Onion panini with a side salad and crisps (it was a handful of crisps on the plate which felt a bit harsh and wasn't clear on what the flavour was but I tried one and it was ready salted.) She said it was: "Very yummy!!" It did smell really nice, I must admit. . Before setting off to the park itself we decided to have a look inside the: 'Artist and Makers Emporium' which had lots and lots of really cool stuff in there!!! AND IT'S ALL HANDMADE!!!!! By people who live within an hour of Craig Y Nos. Massive shout out to the lady working there who was really friendly and welcoming and very happy to answer any questions and give information about everything in the shops from the authors of the books to the wooden handmade things she made herself. . We then set off to wonder the park, we fed the ducks (Has to be done init), Skimmed many a stone across the river, walked around and saw the castle and the pavilion. Took many pictures of cool trees, stones, ducks, flowers, lakes, and many more. . Very Lovely, calming place. I would very much recommend it to everyone and I cannot wait to return again!!!!! Thank you.

We visited Craig-y-Nos Country Park for the first time yesterday and were surprised at how beautiful and peaceful a place it is. There was plenty of room to park and we paid £1.50 for 2hrs - the machine takes card as well as cash. The Country Park is managed by the Brecon Beacons National Park and is 40-acres large. It is part of the grounds of Craig-y-Nos Castle. There's a network of paths which are easy to follow, and we found ourselves walking through some beautiful woodlands and alongside the River Tawe that runs through the area. It's dog friendly but they have to kept on a lead. We were surprised at how quiet it was there, we walked the whole area and only saw a few people out walking. This is definitely somewhere we will be visiting again, it makes for a nice day out!

A beautiful setting for a walk. Climbing to the top of the hill that overlooks the country park is a killer but the view is so worth it! We loved the access to the river for our dog and I can imagine in the spring/summer it must be so beautiful with the flowers and plants being in bloom. It's also great that it's fully wheelchair accessible to the river and some parts of the park. The only mar on the day was the fact that the gift shop was closed on the one day we chose to go (the weather was glorious so we knew we'd get a good view) so that was a shame. We didn't go into the coffee shop but we did use the toilets which were clean. You can pay for your parking by either card or coins. Plenty of parking.

Lovely area to walk through. Some patches can be accessed with a pushchair or wheelchair. It can get muddy so please bear this in mind when considering footwear and also something to wipe the wheels of the buggy and chair so that it doesn't affect your car interior.

Lovely river, great area for dogs. Nice coffee shop area with delicious snacks and some great vegan sausage rolls.

Lovely snapshot of history. I'd advise you to look in the coffee shop as there are some old photos of the castle on the wall in there. There are also many letters and photographs hung within the main building.

The staff were super friendly and allowed my friends daughter to enter the theatre area and sing on stage. It made her day and she was over the moon at being shown some of the rooms set up ready for a wedding...
