There is no parking (carpark padlocked). It's a drive up a single track road with no passing places. There are no information boards. Nice views over the countryside and Trawsfynydd lake (try to imagine the nuclear power station isn't there). The Roman fort is no more. You can climb the Norman Bailey for a view. On balance, I wish I hadn't made the diversion. I'm sure there are some beautiful walks, but the same can be said of most of North Wales.

Fantastic views and fairly easy to find but with no proper parking and no signposts or information boards telling you what you can no longer see (there isn't much!). We were lucky with the weather so views were great and I personally like the view of the power station, its a classic (if you think about it, even castles would have possibly been viewed as carbuncles in their day 😁)

The local car park has been destroyed, so you have to park elsewhere and walk along the road. All information signs have been removed for some reason. Although the site is interesting, it has been very poorly looked after. Such a shame.

I am sure the place is beautiful to visit if you like walking but if you try to visit by car it is difficult to see anything. Signs of ”no parking” and ” private land” all along the little road that leads up the hill. Very apparent the residents don’t want any visitors. So we had to be content by looking at the site from the car. Hopeless to find the road too as there are no road signs on the larger road. I am amazed they have bothered to reconstruct a wall as the place is so difficult to get tor visitors who are not...

There's not much info on how to find this place but if you're travelling north on A470, go pass Stiniog Activity Centre on your left, travel about another mile, take first right. It's a very narrow lane, passing under an old metal railway bridge after 100 yards. Follow this lane uphill for about a mile. There's a small parking area on right with info board. Nice short walk with info boards...
