If you're looking for a picturesque secluded dog-free beach (dogs are banned here) with golden sands, turquoise sea on a sunny day, and shelter from surrounding cliffs and green embankment, then this is perfect. It very much puts me in mind of a pretty Cornish cove, and in my opinion this beach is the gem of the Llyn Peninsula. It also has a beachside cafe with outside terraced seating area with a pleasant view overlooking the beach. Inside seating is also available. It has an extensive breakfast, lunch and snack menu. A wide range of ice creams and drinks are also available. Toilets (2 unisex cubicles with disabled access) are located a little further up the access road. The National Trust car park is a further 5 minute walk up the access road from the beach, and is a fixed tariff of £5 per day, or free for members. Cars are not allowed down the access road from the car park to the beach, except for loading / unloading on a small turning space by the toilets. The access road is tarmacked but single track with no passing places in most parts, do be prepared to reverse up or down if you meet an oncoming vehicle. If you are able-bodied it is best to walk down to the beach from the designated NT car park.

Absolutely stunning beach especially if the sun is shining. I visited here mid week at the end of June, the car park is spacious and costs £5 for the day with 2 x toilets which were very clean, unfortunately there is no alternative to pay for a short stay (it is definitely worth the fee even for a short visit as it's owned by the National Trust). There is a steep path which you have to walk down that leads towards the beach, there is a cafe on the beach which was open & more additional toilets on the path that leads down. The beach was sandy & the sea was very calm & clear, there were a few people sunbathing as it's a sheltered bay so perfect for catching the rays. Be sure to take what you need from the car as the walk back to the car park means you have to go back up the steep path. It wasn't busy and a very tranquil spot, you could easily mistake this for being overseas with the beautiful scenery & crystal clear blue waters.

Beautiful Beach. Majority is out of bounds for dogs but does allow dogs on a small small section during summer months. Cafe and toilets available. Peak summer when we visited and perfect weather meant it was very busy. Shallow water and white sands great for the kids. Be aware there is a steep road down to the beach from the car park which could be an issue for wheelchair and disabled access. If you want a beach you can spend the whole day at swimming and relaxing, this is a good option. There's also a number of walking trails around the area with maps of the routes available from the National Trust car park.

It's a nice beach with sand. The sand doesn't whistle or squeak, it's just sand like any other beach. The worst thing about this beach is the fact that the National Trust have monitarised it by having a £5 parking charge. We only stayed about 2hr and most of that time was spent in the cafe (which was fine btw). The parking payment machine stole my son's money. Luckily, the NT person was still in the cabin and helped to recover the stolen coins. Since they intended visiting the beach again in the week they joined the NT for £7 monthly charge with the intention of cancelling straight away after their holiday. Another way of reducing the NT revenue is to join the Scottish NT, (which is much cheaper) as this gives access to all NT sites and their parking club. The cafe is well worth a visit but sadly spoilt by excessive parking fees that the NT inflicted on non...
