We walked from Aberdaron to Porthor Whistling Sands 6.7 miles there and back. We went to the cafe for lunch, i had baked potato with cheese and salad, my brother had Spicy bean burger with chips and salad. My potato was massive, and cooked just right and my brother said his meal was also delicious and the portions were huge. We also ordered the Blueberry scones and paninis to take out. Once back in Aberdaron we had the scones, theyre the best weve ever tasted, so full of Blueberries and packed full of flavour. I highly recommend visiting this lovely cafe at Porthor you wont be disappointed and try the scones.

Had an ice cream and a can for a very reasonable price. Parking is £5 in the national trust car park, but access to the beach is free, so you could park further away and walk down, although I wouldn't recommend as it is a couple of minutes walk downhill form the car park as it is. Lovely views, nice beach, and a few outdoor tables to sit in the sun, or some inside if that's what you prefer. They have a large variety of food in the menu, from hot meals to ice creams and cakes, there's something for everyone.

The parking is free for National Trust members. This cafe serves the Whistling Sands beach well but is also well worth a visit if you are walking the coastal path or just want somewhere to get some good food. Great breakfasts, good cakes. Stunning to have early evening dinner on a sunny day on the terrace overlooking Whistling Sands beach. If you are in a family/large group be warned that this place is small & fills up very quickly.

A lovely situation , unfortunately the soup of the day wasn't soup of the day but frozen soup from another day defrosted and microwaved. It came with some brown sliced bread you wouldn't serve with soup and was inedible. No quarms when I sent it back to replace the tomato soup with leek and potato soup .. my sons burger didn't come with the cheese that was paid for (£2 ), and when my soup came back, it was still frozen in the middle, and the potato was obviously not fresh The waitress apologized for the wait and said it was because they were defrosting it . I took it back to the counter this time, and we left . 2 soups that were awful and a cheese burger and spicy bean burger the kids liked, and the chips were cooked in oil that should have been changed a week ago grim. Wish I'd brought my own with us. What a shame . Soup of the day should be fresh and when it's gone it's done for the...

Stopped by Caffi Porthor during a visit to Porthor Beach and was pleasantly surprised. The café offers a variety of dishes, including multiple vegan options like house-made falafel, vegan breakfasts, burgers, and pizzas with vegan cheese . The food was tasty and satisfying, perfect after a beach walk.

The café has both indoor and outdoor seating, and dogs are welcome outside. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Note that the car park nearby is managed by the National Trust and costs £5 for the day, with no option for shorter durations . Also, while the beach is known as “Whistling Sands,” the sand didn’t whistle during our visit—perhaps due to the weather or sand conditions.

Overall, Caffi Porthor is a charming spot to grab a bite with a beautiful view of the bay. Highly recommended for anyone...
