Very small section of Hadrian's Wall but interesting non the less. Car Parking is compact to say the very least with room for five cars or perhaps six at a push. Parking is free but limited as I say and there are no toilets. Acess to the site is via a stile and up hill thro a field, so not wheel chair friendly at all. The site consists of the turret at a hight of four feet with no internal features visible. The northern defence ditch and two short sections of Hadrian's Wall. While neither section of the wall stands very high you can see clearly where the broad wall ends and the narrow wall starts built on the broad wall Foundations. Another family arrived as we were leaving, but we had it to ourselves before that. It is necessary to climb a set of steps, then a short walk up hill in a quite mucky field. Not accessible for a wheelchair or otherwise infirm person. No toilets...

Partner fell and hurt herself. No need for such a ridiculous stile as is evidenced by a far more accessible and convenient example at the turret itself. Easy walk up the field to the site but made impossible for those with mobility issues by this...
