2 adults and 2 children (Halloween/pumpkin tickets) £20 each. On arrival we found parking easy. (We prepaid parking turns out we didn’t need to pay). It seemed about 50% of the shops were empty which was sad as I liked the shops.
Getting into the main kids area was simple and quick. I liked that they gave you bags for the pet food.
We didn’t get given a map (we were told it was somewhere but couldn’t see them, probably our fault) but it was all located well enough for us to find.
Highlights: -We got to hold a few animals. -magic show was so good -medal for gold hunting -staff got kids involved with role play stuff -amazing animals -indoor play area -tractor ride -scare walk (people jumping out)
Staff 8/10 they seemed happy and put an effort into what they did. They were switched around but you could tell they only had enough to keep things smooth.
Site 8/10 needs a little updating with things broken or not used maybe a little boarder line unsafe.
Activity’s 9/10 sooo… we did everything and it was brilliant. The magic show was AMAZING! Don’t ever get rid of that. Staff put effort in and things were looked after/managed when needed. What was on offer was brilliant. Wasn’t a 10 because I paid to get in don’t expect to pay again for silly little rides.
Cleanliness 7/10 mixing animals with nice indoor areas was always going to be a challenge BUT why not have a boot/welly cleaning area. We were covered in mud due to going to get pumpkins (I mean really bad). They had nothing so we walked in and it was so messy on the floor with kids running around in socks. I had to laugh even more, you put a seating area under a bridge. I watched as everything from the kids feet was dropping onto the people below.
The way I look at it £20 for a pumpkin, animals, scary rides and shows, gold mining (brilliant little medal), magic show (bloody brilliant) and play area indoor and outdoors was a steal.
Over all rating 8/10 could have done with being more about the visitors and less about money pinching. Hire more cleaners, fix some of those outdoor hazards, get some more cleaning stations near indoor area. Keep the paid rides just make them free.
Last thing from me get rid of those annoying hand towel machines please!

Read moreA bit disappointed, found this campsite via campsites-co-uk and specifically asked it to ONLY list campsites with included play areas.
This place came up and we booked it.
The site is basic but has everything you need (clean showers and toilets is about the only thing I needed beyond what I’ll bring my self anyway), host was super friendly as well.
However, the campsite does NOT include a children’s play area, this is actually part of the neighbouring Hatton adventure world or something like that, £19.95 each entry for kids and adults, £2.50 saving if in campsite.
This basically means that the plan to let the kids play in what I thought would be a safe area close to the tent is not an option, in fact it’s basically false advertising. I do not believe this is the fault of the website I used to book, the host or owner of the camp site clearly provides data to the website, they’re not just going to make it up.
It’s also very loud, there’s a road running across the top boundary of the site, which is not busy so that’s only an infrequent bother, so little that I don’t mind it at all, indeed I needed the road to get here. But about 1km is a motorway, I think the m40. You can hear that traffic 24 hours a day, more so at night because all the other noise calms down. I could probably forget the motorway noise after a couple of days, or perhaps not notice it at all if I were normally a city dweller, but the non existent children’s play area really annoyed me as this place simply shouldn’t have been on the campsites-co-uk list per my search requirements, that was an important part of what my child had expected to do whilst here, so for me, this is now a huge let down.
The adventure world or whatever it is called, looks good, I doubt it is worth that price of entry for both adults and children, but even if it were, it would be an awful lot of money to spend on more than one trip to...
Read moreHatton used to be a fantastic day out however it has rapidly declined this year We visited today for the “Halloween special” after a hellish time in the children’s hospital for my daughter last week and couldn't access disabled parking as staff had put their cars there without badges. We watched as a poor child in a wheelchair was pushed across potholes from the other side of the car park and staff shrugged at us when highlighting this. From entry, it was clear that tickets had been significantly oversold and we spent the 45 minutes of attendance trying to access at least 1 activity that wasn’t full. People were stood like sardines and the magic show was an absolute fire risk with people shoved in every gap available, covering the floor and blocking any fire escape in sight despite an actual fire being involved in the magic show. We then gave up trying to access the tractor ride, the Halloween tents and the magic show as every single one was rammed full or too full to gain entry and attempted to get lunch, which was as you can guess, FULL to the brim! We eventually gave up and attempted to speak to a manager upon leaving within the hour, stating that we had effectively paid £100 to feed their goats as this is all we could access to be scoffed at and told we were in effect, lying as “tickets were not fully sold out”. I dread to think what it could have been like at full capacity but as for “cheer up days out”, I would avoid like the plague as the staff are rude, blame the customer and do not take an ounce of...
