We were planning to visit the Midland Air Museum when my wife detected the Shackleton and Nimrod nearby, so we decided to visit these first. We were welcomed by the crew who told us they were trying to start up the apu in order to get the main engines running. We were invited to come inside, and they told us all about this fascinating aircraft. They were members of the original crew that, with this specific aircraft, took part in the Falkland War.
