Very nice place to visit, just be very careful following Google maps to get there. We ended up parking in the golf club in what looked like a service yard for a farm! We managed to get back on our way, post navigating the locked electronic gates, by heading for the nearby church (St John The Baptist, Baginton). This was perfect as there was a small road sign, and then entrance to the car park as per the photos.

The castle ruins are good to explore, not being very large but do give a feel for the size of what was there. There were also several information points around to get the history. The people who run the site also have activities for different ages children too.

The walks are very good and well maintained. With a teddy bears picnic area and a long walk passed a river. It was interesting to find a former tank testing area too amongst the land we could walk around. The area was well kept and not overgrown.

There is a car park which is on grass, but has painted lines on it, and a shop for snacks or small gifts such as bookmarks and magnets. There is a toilet at the back of the shop with a 50p charge to use it.

We enjoyed our visit and would go again as it was local, but felt like we were in deep countryside with the...

A stunning place to visit, we soon found when we got there that it is not only castle ruins to see. As well as the castle and gazebo there is a beautiful Riverside Walk, 2 fishing ponds and tank testing site. We also enjoyed feeding the goats and a well earned cuppa when we got back to exit. Staff were friendly and most helpful. We didn't see the Kingfisher, but saw a Jay, damselflies and Mayflies, lots of butterflies and a rabbit whilst walking around. The Teddy bears picnic and wooden rabbits and owls were great to see, and found a ribbon that one of the rabbits were missing and...

Can't believe this place is virtually on my doorstep - yet I'd never been. Ruins are minimal, but you get the idea of the 14th century building. Plenty of info boards dotted around and some sort of hunt for children to find things ( didn't take much notice tbh ) Lovely setting, lovely short walks. Ideal spot for a picnic. Can find picnicing bears ! Volunteers on duty were very friendly and informative. Place needs greater publicity as it's a bit hidden away. Council should improve signage to it. Small fee to access ( open weekends & Bank hols ) Well...

What a lovely place. Now don't be fooled by the word castle because there's not much left of it. Never the less this is still a very beautiful part of coventry and its full of history. They do charge to enter the site so is not a free day out. There was an activity/arts and crafts area for children and a few goats to feed, but no park/play area.

A fantastic place for a stroll and a picnic. The whole site is well cared for with excellent informational panels spanning a diverse history from medieval to modern. The riverside walk is excellent and one of many routes where you can discover the local wildlife. Plus they have goats!
