I think there are other car parks but the one I went to was £1 for 2 hours, which was fine. It's a lovely woodland, hillside walk, quite a few paths, dirt and paved. Everyone I have bumped into has been really friendly. The views are 👌 I went back again the next day, especially because alot of the other surrounding walks, hills etc, are really really sandy but bourne woods is great. Dogs pop out of nowhere sometimes, and I have a reactive pitksy, and two other dogs, but actually the other walkers are very polite and offer to put the lead on their dogs etc, it's great for socializing the pitksy, lots of positive interactions for him.

The only reason it has four stars is that there isn't a water source in the woods. I heard a small stream but it was behind a fence, and my dogs love a drink and a...

Love this walk, so much to do here.

Just literally found this on the map because there was a hiking symbol. Ended up going on a 5 mile hike, up and down, passed what looked like a maze made out of hedges, didn’t investigate as I thought I could next time I come. Then ended up in a steam museum all because I wanted a drink and a bit of cake, (ended up having a sausage roll)

You can tell why it’s a popular spot for filming, such an interesting place. I’m sure I recognised one part for having been filmed in a couple of big features. I wanna say Gladiator and one of the Thor movies and...

Great spot for dog walking, however there are no poo bins which is extremely inconvenient having to carry your dogs poo for the entire walk!

There are some areas that are gated because of deers, but the fencing/gates aren’t very good because our medium sized dog managed to get under one of the gates (huge gap) while being off lead. There was a deer standing quite near her at the time but luckily we managed to call her back before she...

The Bourne Wood is a really special place that you’ve probably seen at least five times and didn’t even realize. It’s the setting for fantastic battles in Gladiator, Transformers, Avengers and Thor but stands alone as a beautiful place for a great walk in Surrey. Come for the nostalgia factor, stay for the beautiful scenery and lovely strolls.
