Been coming here for 45 years, but recently the area up by the leat above Leather tor bridge has been totally ruined by the intrusive fencing. Totally spoils the scenery and atmosphere. I used to sit by the leat and enjoy looking along at it, now the view is blocked out by big wooden fences ! What's the point ? Animals can get round it by going in the woods. And even more stiles put up. We need to get rid of the stiles. I often have to crawl through the doggy bit as I can't afford to slip and break my leg on a difficult stile. When will the arboretum be open again? Its been closed for months but I never see or hear any work being...

The guy gave us a cometary on its history & was very informative & interesting....
