We were staying nearby and there were pictures of this circle of stones on the hotel walls. After a quick Google we realised it was a short drive away. We parked (free) on the edge of Belstone village. Within 10 minutes easy walk the stones came into view and we were able to walk right up to them right off the path. We spent some time walking around and sitting on the stones before venturing up to the top of the small tor another short but steeper walk nearby. The landscape is beautiful and dotted with rugged, curiously shaped rocks, sheep and Dartmoor ponies. Well worth a visit if you are looking for an easily accessible by foot, short circular walk. We saw very few other people except a couple of dog walkers in the distance. This would be a great one to do...

Read moreFairly easy to reach, drive past the Tors Inn in Belstone, keeping to the right until the road ends at a gate, you should be able to park there on the left. From there it's a ten minute walk to the stones. Afterwards you can go back to the Tors Inn for a nice pub lunch and a Tors Lager (dogs are...
