Our review seems to differ wildly from others, however unfortunately, this is a true reflection of our experience there. On holiday in Lincolnshire, looking for a mixed family activity for adults and 3 x 12+ children to enjoy. Booked Wild Pines as a birthday day out for one of the children. This place gets great reviews so thought we would give it a try, having tried and enjoyed other national brands. The course itself is great, a mixture of challenge and fun! Unfortunately with the exception of Jacob who checked us in, the staff did leave a lot to be desired. The health and safety briefing focused on ābriefā, no information was included on number of people per platform or obstacle. Some people who were booked in at the same time as us were late, but no explanation was given and when our harnesses were being set up, it seemed the girl was more interested in them turning up barely even looking at us! (We later found out that she knew them). We also werenāt given proper instructions on where to start so we ended up missing two of the practice courses. Something which would have been beneficial given we had two 12 year olds with us who were a little apprehensive being chucked straight into the deep end! Also didnāt see any staff members on patrol whilst on the courses. Although I appreciate you are clipped on and safe the entire time it does bring some comfort if you happen to get stuck. Not sure weād be interested in coming again as for the price Iād expect staff who wanted to be here! Just to really top off the experience one of the children got stuck at the top of the 10m zip wire, which left us shouting instructions from the ground to help, 5 staff members all stood within 10ft of us chatting and not one asked if there was anything they could do to help. Itās no wonder that Go Ape is the market leader, who offer a much more professional and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited Wild Pines again today - we are frequent visitors as weāre annual pass holders, and can't help but praise this venue time and time again.
Whilst the bigger family members usually indulge in the exhilarating high ropes course, we decided to venture into new territory for our little one's 5th birthday. Opting for the bear hunt and crazy golf for a group of ten little people proved to be an inspired choice. The entire experience was nothing short of magical!
Embarking on the bear hunt through the woods was a highlight, with every child eagerly racing to uncover the next hidden treasure. Even after nearly an hour, not a single complaint about boredom was heard.
Following the bear adventure, a delightful round of crazy golf provided more fun, before we settling down for a teddy bearās picnic at one of the many benches provided by the venue.
The attention to detail extended to every aspect, the detailed map, the beautifully carved bears, the interesting quiz questions and, for going home, the thoughtfully packed party bags for each child.
There was the opportunity for parents to unwind with hot beverages and snacks while the kids played in the hammocks.
Despite our youngest not meeting the age requirement for the high ropes course, this venue still proved to be an exceptional choice for her birthday celebration. Plus, the option of an indoor space ensured our plans weren't derailed by inclement weather.
Kudos to Max and Erin, our exceptional hosts whose professionalism, warmth, and assistance truly enhanced the experience. We can't recommend this venue enough for a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable outing for families with children...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think there are a couple of ways at looking at this adventure park. If you are a young rascal, without any sense of danger then this place is just good fun. If you are not so keen on heights then it is a pretty good place to come to confront your fear. There are three courses that help you build confidence both in the equipment and your abilities. The staff are brilliant. Speaking as the more mature member of the team, you want to have confidence that your wee rascals are safe as they go tearing round the tree tops and as an old codger you want to know someone is going to come and rescue you if your ambition outstrips your ability. There is a good briefing during and after the harnesses have been fitted and then the one line safety system is explained. All very simple and very safe. Our teenagers loved it but even they were tuckered out by the time they had done the main course twice and then the zip wire course. They were so excited that they left the 'old man' of the party well behind....and never looked back. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and am lucky in that I am used to heights so was able to join in with the harder course. Those of you not keen on climbing there are plenty of other attractions including Archery, Treasure Hunts or just exploring the woodlands. The facilities suit the park well with ample clean toilets and even classrooms. Parking is easy and onsite. Found on the outskirts of Market Rasen on the Legsby Rd just past...
