Small informal community woodland mostly let to go wild and natural with minimal intervention. It's not easy to find the entrance - which isn't sign posted. The main entrance is off the main road A361 next to the Cricket Club. Through the ornate gateway. Park the car outside as there is very limited parking at the end of the single track lane. Best leave that space for less able people. There is another entrance off Dog Kennel Lane but there's no parking there. You'll need wellies or walking boots as the paths are not paved nor gravelled. There's plenty of woodland space for running around and playing in streams; they came out caked in mud from the waist downwards, having seen a frog, climbed all over a fallen tree, heard a woodpecker and been closely inspected by a tiny duckling! The road down is not for the weak of suspension, and this isn't the kind of place that has toilets and a tearoom, but it's a wonderful place for a nice quiet walk - or a small child with full-body...

Quite muddy down the track after a few days rain. No toilets. Gramp managed to get around with a disability walker but it's not flat even ground.
