One of English Heritage free sites and a little surprise. Parking is available at the village hall for 50p, saves parking on a narrow street near the tower. Well worth stopping for a look if travelling past. Free entry (EH). Parking best on the road alongside the church, there is parking on the road leading up to the tower but it's only narrow and residential, so certainly not easy to turn if in anything bigger than a car. Only a 20 min visit as there's just 2 or 3 rooms to explore. Stairs up to a room with a bay window. Probably not worth travelling especially to see, but a little bit of history hidden away. Nice walk along the river nearby. Great 'wood carving' shop...

A walk up the tower gets you to the first floor any further and you'll find yourself in the awkward position of needing to...
