The pond as been drained & cleared out, said there was a leak, pond now filled with water again, Alot of water lilys have been put in to each of the 4 pots, should only be one to a pot or they won't flower also they spread very fast, there was a lot of weed in the pond for the hundreds of fish to hide from the seagulls but now there's no weed or fish. Maybe the gulls have all ready had the fish, seems they can't get anyone to do a job properly, always cowboys. Pond could do With 3 or 4 Inches of good top soil and 3 or 4 types of weed planted in it it keeps pond clean supplies air food cover, The cafe is open today, used to be a public toilet, maybe people don't need toilets these days just coffee but where does the coffee go if there's no toilet to put it, a pie cost me nearly £5 at the cafe wouldn't of got if I known it was that much, the wooded steps that lead down to beach fell apart in the1980s & were never replaced, wooden bridge been closed for years as it's falling apart, the metal gates to gardens have long gone, castle as been fenced up for good, used to be a golf course (putting) by the the castle & a man in a shed to take the money for golf ball and stick. it's all so run down where's all the council tax go to, in back...

Superb views over Portland harbour and a lovely area for children to play as there are lots of open spaces and hiding places. It's just the most...

The gardens are really nice and well maintained. It's a peaceful and spacious.
Ideal to go and relax and take in the views over the bay towards Portland.
There is a nice refreshments kiosk on site where you can buy food and drink. Not unreasonably priced and very nice quality.
I could quite easily sit here with a good book and chill out for a couple of hours.
