Read moreLilford Park (managed by Wigan council) is a varied attraction featuring a childâs playground, open fields great for dog walking and a disc golf course (review to follow shortly)
It is well kept, with appropriately placed bins, and a public toilet conveniently located centrally within the park (closed on our visit at 5:30 pm Friday). The car park is adequately sized but I can see it becoming overcrowded at peak times. There are well tended flowerbeds lining the paths, tastefully protected by a metal fence. I enjoy rotating rides so this park was well suited to myself...

On a sunny day you're almost guaranteed an ice cream van also đ well...
