Asha Indian — Restaurant in Wigan

Let me tell you a story: I wake up late on a very nice Saturday (as usual), had breakfast and went about my business as usual. When it came to tea time I pondered "Do I want to cook or just get a takeout". The descision was clear...takeout. The type of takeout? Well indian of course. And I know from past experience that Asha is the place to go. So I ring up to place a delivery order "Chicken madras and chips please with a garlic naan bread" (my usual). I give the kind sounding man my address and await my food. ding dong I hear: from my front door. My food had arrived. I payed the very reasonable price of £10 and thanked the delivery driver. It was time to dine and boy oh boy it did not disapoint! Lovely curry! Lovely chips! and delectable naan bread! I highly recommend this place as it has been a staple of my diet (maybe once or twice a month) and I don't intend to change that.

Pleas give this place a go. You won't be disapointed....

I used to go to Asha a few years back but changed takeaway (no fault of Asha never had an issue just tried a different one and stuck with it) however the past month or so we have started ordering from Asha again and I have nothing bad to say! Delivery driver always smiling and speaks to you, the food hot and all in foil containers so can be recycled!)

Spicy garlic rice is the best, the onion bhajis too are bang on! So soft and a decent size, I’ve had bhajis from other takeaways and they’ve been small and like rocks!! Tried a few chicken curries, the tikka madras, garlic balti, African garlic, roshni and bhuna masala and all of them were amazing, chicken is always soft. Will definitely be sticking with Asha...

Just ordered the set meal for 2. We wasn't sure that we had the right order, as we didnt like the curries at all we order the same currys everytime but from other Indians and wanted ine closer to home. Rang to explain the staff were lovey and asked us if we would take them back, we did as this was no problem. They made us two new curries but unfortunately they was bland (the only way I can describe it that they tasted like microwave meal curries, I know they are not as you can see them making them) but just no flavour. Really disappointed 😞 as we have just put them in the bin so a waste of £25. I can't fault the staff as they did their best, but the food was just not of the standard we ...
