Mersey Park it is a lovely little park. The layout of the park borrows itself nicely for someone starting running or runners that don't want to cover more than 5k runs for example, because it has nice variety of gradients in its course path. It is relatively clean but beware as there are some irresponsible dog owners leaving their dog waste behind. The park has a very nice playground and a caged five a side/basketball/volleyball area with sitting, and a large enclosed green for playing next to it, which does not allow dogs in it, but this is blatantly ignored by some people that I supposed are illiterate as there are signs about it on all entrances. You can experience beautiful sunrises and magnificent sunsets in this park as it is elevated above the town of Tranmere, on cold misty morning if offers very romantic views of church spires and roof tops and the wooded area of the next park 200 yards away in the distance which looks very pretty. If there is snow on the ground you can sleigh on it as it has nice gentle unobstructed slopes, so very safe for the kiddies. In the summer it is quite glorious with a nice amount and variety of large trees and lush grass, in some section the grass is allowed to grow uninterrupted giving those areas a lovely meadow feeling with plenty of butterflies and other insects. I have seen plenty of local people at different times doing litter picking which shows that is not just me that love this park :-) (I litter pick on November the 6th, after firework night and found £5!, But I am no in it...
