It is a hidden gem. The area is absolutely amazing. It is perfect place for many reasons. You can be very close to nature, feel the calmness of the area. you can have a meditative time in this place by feeling the trees and hearing the birds. It is perfect place for walking, so you can bring elderly and young members of the family without hesitation. The paths are hazard free. Dog walking is also popular here. I found its a dear place to locals. However, it has three different free car parking area. There is a café in Heather farm area, which is adjacent to one car park. The other car park is next to H. G. Wells Path, from here the Sand pit is easily reachable. The other one is in Monument Road, from here you can get the quick access to Peace Garden. There is much more to know and explore then what I should write in here. Highly recommended a visit here but mind the area is...

It was a nice walk with my darling husband until about 19:00 hours when we saw a dog with the colour of a lion, it strayed away from its owner.

From afar, I thought I had seen a lion. I had a million thoughts in one second. It was already dark and no one would even hear us scream.

My final thoughts as it approached us was that my self and my husband would be killed by a lion.

Luckily for us as it got closer, we saw the owner coming at the back and it became clearer that it was only a dog.

That is the worse horror experience I have ever had in my life.

In a simple word, please hold your dog especially when it gets late, because someone gave me a panic attack! I thought I was going to get killed by a lion….that’s...

Lots of hedgehogs in & around horsell. Move hedgehog highways need. Please also take care at thus time of year building bonfire as hedgehog go in thinking it somewhere the can hibernate, then there set alight killing 🦔. So only assemble on the night of the fire and only light on 1 side so 🦔 have a chance to run out of otherwise. These animals are in danger. More need to be done to help them survive.. I live just off Horsell Common so see 🦔 every evening from march to November. As I feed & water them. But more help is needed. Please taken care when strimmering as these machine kill a high volume of 🦔, please add hole in you fence. They will pay you back my eating all the slugs & snails in...
