Autherley canal junction is the junction between the Shropshire Union canal and the staffs and Worcester canal, the junction being a stop lock with a drop of water of only a couple of inches. It can be busy here at times with narrow boats changing canals but the wait is never great. It is also home to Napton narrowboats hire fleet so is a good place to look for hire boats if that is what you are after. There is a small chandlers here with all the basics a narrowboat might need along with ice cream and light refreshments. Diesel is also available along with pump out, no elsan though.
