1st October 2021-Pendeford village: A local had recommended this pub so decided to go and have a look, looked okay from the outside so I popped in for something to eat at lunchtime What a welcoming atmosphere, staff were very friendly. It was nicely decorated on the inside, very fresh and clean and there was a good selection of drinks..my Doombar was on the tap so a pint or two of this was beckoning. I looked at the menu and ordered their Classic Double Beef Burger with chips and it soon arrived at my outdoors covered seating area, wow...what quick service! I was pleasantly surprised with my burger, the lettuce and tomato were very fresh and I liked the thinly sliced raw onions with it too....my beef patties were perfectly cooked and the brioche burger bun was great, loved my Classic Double Beef burger and absolutely delicious!! My Doombar was perfectly chilled and well kept and I enjoyed my second pint watching the warm 1st of October autumn sunny sky very much indeed... A big thank you to Clare and Briany(?) for a great welcoming lunchtime experience! Definitely will be recommending you to all the boaters moored up at Autherley Junction..Oxley Moor road moorings !! Only a 25 minute walk or so from Oxley Moor road and the canal....

Local estate style pub / restaurant and a favourite with families during the day, with a sports bar vibe of an evening and during sporting events. The food is decent pub grub, drinks menu is quite standard - if you want ale, you're often limited to Doom Bar. There's a popular, large beer garden to the rear of the pub. Small seating area to the front also.

Food ok but 15 yr old niece told she had to leave at 8.30pm due to licensing laws. spoilt the evening as sister had to take her home. Never had this in any other pub. Can't really call yourselves family friendly pub if kids not able to stay with family.

Update: Have had conversation with manager who explained that licensing rules are specific to their pub. Suggested that they make it more clear to families when booking or ordering food that children will need to leave at 8.30. Sizzling pubs website needs to state that there may be different rules at each pub rather than having generic FAQs that do not apply to all. Have added a star as manager very pleasant...

I went there yesterday for birthday meal with my family. On sitting at the table it felt like hadn't had a good clean for a while, the menu s were all sticky. The food came which should of been a steak sizzler I'm afraid my steaks sizzle had long left my plate ,and was full off gristle only could cut round edges. My grandson had the burger which had a very stale bap all very disappointing We went out side for a drink after food and what a dirty garden, litter everywhere, Glasses on tables like been there from night before as garden was empty. I'm sorry this pub needs a good deep clean, and tidy up. There seemed to be enough staff standing around...
