Rifle Range Nature Reserve — Attraction in Wyre Forest

I love this place. Whether you start from Blackstone, the safari (Rydd) or Burlish Top. The walk is gorgeous at anytime of year. You can see the Severn Valley Railway, safari park. Poppy fields sometimes. The Devil’s Spitiful and the wild cattle roaming about. It’s just a damn fine place to wander. Hardly nobody knows of this nature reserve, it's right on the side of the west midlands safari park, mostly flat walking and you can here the Elephants and with the Severn Valley Railway line cutting across it. A local was telling me once that Bobcats live in the area, so please becareful where you walk and keep on the footpaths as they can bite...

A beautiful place to visit deep in the countryside. It is quite a walk from the Blackstone picnic area but worth the walk. Not very suitable for wheelchair users without assistance as hilly and rough and bumpy tracks. Mobility scooter uses may manage ok. Paths around the Rifle Range are narrow and sandy.
