Can't believe I haven't written a review for Mwnt yet, but here goes. It's one of the best beaches in West Wales - certainly in Ceredigion. The sand is almost elevated here, and you step down into the water. Pretty quickly, you're submerged, not like other beaches where you have to wade out for miles before you can swim. This is great, as it means you can go for a proper, good swim and still be really close to the shore and the sand, but watch out for babies and kids playing for the same reason. View from the engulfing cliffs are also spectacular. From the far side you can look out and over towards Cardigan island and on with weeks like we've been having recently, which have been super sunny, there's no better place on earth. There's even good dolphin spotting here, and they've been very active this late June. Wonderful little cove, and a hidden gem amongst many dotted around the magnificent Welsh coastline.

A few things to note, there is a steep decent down the steps to get to it, and it's unfortunately not for everyone. There are 142 steps in all to get down to the beach. Secondly, the app you might use for parking in West Wales - PayByPhone - does not work here, due to no phone signal in the car park. That's the one with the little church, Eglwys y Grog, in the background. You need to bring change, as well as money for the small shop at the summit of the steps. Just...

Stunning, sandy, beach cove with incredible views. This is a popular beach! The approach is a sloped descent to a small cafe & cliff top area. From here, there are many steps down to the sand & the steps have wide flats in between each step-set. The beach is a sheltered cove & on a hot day it's an ideal location to get some vitamin D, have a swim & enjoy the scenery! Because the beach is so popular & quite spacially limited, it can be difficult to find a private space on the sand, especially in Summer months. For walkers & hikers this is a fabulous place to include on a coastal walk... or even, to start a coastal walk! The car park gets extremely busy in the Summer, especially on pleasant days & it can be difficult to find a parking space. The car park is free for blue badge holders. Non-blue badge holders are to pay £4 to for every 4 hours. Definitely a very beautiful & dramatic piece of...

This Sandy beach is a loverly hidden gem of West Wales on The Cardigan Heritage Coast just about 6 miles North Of Cardigan off the A487 at Penparc follow the signs to Mwnt Beach the access lane down to the beach is narrow with twist and turns, you might find vehicles coming up towing caravans so keep over to the left on the turns in the lane at the bottom of the lane is the car park a National Trust Pay&Display there are toilets available . The beach is reached by Steps with a gentle little rippling stream running to the beach . This beach is a place for rest with Dolphins and seals being seen just off the beach they seem to like the tranquility and peaceful serene loving energy that this location has. Just like I said a hidden gem of Wales...
