The Water's Edge Aquatic Center — Attraction in Addison Township

We got here 35 minutes early and were 5th in line. After watching the girl at the counter use a calculator for 9x2 I got a bad feeling. I took my shoes off in the locker room and noticed several kids sprinting through the locker room. I walk out like 30 seconds later and the only area with chairs in the shade was taken. There are only like 12 seats under an umbrella in the shade in the entire water park. All the kids that ran through the locker room were sitting on chairs waiting for their parents to finish paying in line. I asked a manager if someone could possibly put more chairs under the umbrella area because currently there are only about 12 when there is room for well over 20. They said they would “talk to maintenance to see if they can create more shade” to which I just asked for a refund explaining I got here plenty early so that I could get a good seat. She said no. I do not reccommend this place to anyone. Unless you get here super early everyday and have a child run through the park and dive on one of 12 chairs in the shade then yer gunna get sun burned for sure. What kind of water park doesnt offer umbrellas or tree shade? A bad one. Two thumbs down which is a real bummer as its so close I could walk...

Ms. Kristi is a phenomenal swim instructor / mentor. My 7yr old son learned more in 6 lessons with her than two years of lessons with another known swim school. By the end of his 1st lesson, he was brave enough to jump off the 3ft diving board into the deep end with the instructor present. Before that he wouldn't even jump in from the side of the pool into the shallow end. I found them through a good search, read the reviews and decided to give them a try even though their location in Bensenville made our logistics difficult (Work in Northlake, had to go back to Chicago to pick up son and then back to B-ville). I highly recommend Ms. Kristi and team and will be signing up my son for additional lessons until he reaches an advanced level. Bravo swim...
