What a great place to stop for lunch on your drive along Interstate 40 (Old Route 66), Exit 22. A sign is posted you're at the Midpoint between Chicago and Los Angeles on Route 66. But the best kept secret is Brenda and the Diner. Her and her staff are great and want to ensure you are taken care of. The hamburgers are awesome and the pies are to die for we had the Blue Berry and Apple. Check out her little gift shop and ensure you get a hug from her it makes the day :-). Check her hours out, oh she shuts her grill down at 3PM but still open till 4 for some pie or cobbler. If I could I would give Brenda 10 Stars. The first day we stopped by she was closed for a medical appointment but by the time we were leaving she showed up and open her restaurant/store for us. Brenda has a gracious heart, God Bless. On our second visit we were glad she was feeling better from our first visit, lookin' good Brenda. Yes, this is a stop that needs to be on your Bucket List, but ensure you check her schedule out first, she is closed on certain days. The outdoor signs and marking are available 24 hours. Yes, we recommend this...
