Arrived there at 7:15 p.m. today. We were unaware that we needed to buy our tickets online in advance of visiting. We attempted to purchase them online, but they claimed there was poor reception. Then, a pleasant young woman informed us that we could buy tickets at the location where they scan tickets. We therefore formed a line, and a red-headed production woman with an extremely negative attitude informed us that we would have to buy the tickets online ourselves. I then informed her that we could also buy tickets here, according to a young woman we spoke with. She then rolled her eyes, got us the tickets, and informed us that the total cost of the four tickets and parking was close to $200.
We replied in the affirmative when she asked if we wanted the receipt. We asked for clarification, and she said it was okay to move forward. Her request that we not examine the tickets or receipt struck us as quite strange. Because we didn't have good reception there. We waited until we return home. When I checked my email, I discovered that she had overcharged us and given us the most expensive parking and ticket timing which was 5pm. That is extremely impolite, and I expect a reimbursement for the additional charge. She needs to be fired or retrained. Since there was no reception there, we were unable to purchase tickets online, so there was no reason to treat us disrespectfully and charge us more.
People, please be aware of the time the tickets they charge you and ask them to show you the time. Don't get overcharged.
For me, it was incredibly pricey just to view the lights and snap photos. Don’t spend your money here and simply go take pictures of the houses decorated for the holiday season and enjoy the sights. There are better locations to view the holiday lights. Simply search for...

Read moreLet me tell you: This is the BEST place to get into the holiday spirit! Plus, delicious spirits (I had the spiked hot chocolate and spiked hot cider) to keep you warm and toasty throughout your visit. I'm surprised Hallmark/Lifetime hasn't filmed a Christmas movie here yet!
The thing is, LA has a lot of "mall" type holiday events, but having moved here recently, I was really missing the massive light displays, Christmas tree farm with fresh, hot doughnuts kinda vibes you can find on the east coast. Well, I found it at Holiday Road! Every part of the trail is a different surprise. THERE'S EVEN SNOW, Y'ALL! I REPEAT: SNOW IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY!
I only wish this place opened sooner in the season because I would have done my family's Christmas card here! There are SO many photo opps, and FREE photos with Santa (I'm pretty sure he was the real one!) They even have workers there to take the photo for you and the ones who helped me were super sweet and took a TON to make sure we had the perfect pic (not a simple task with my niece and nephew, who are toddlers LOL!)
Five stars for sure, this will forever be a staple in my...
