We stopped at the North Augusta Welcome Center as we crossed into South Carolina, and it was such a pleasant surprise! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming — you could tell they genuinely enjoy helping travelers.

The restrooms were spotless, the grounds were beautifully maintained, and there were plenty of brochures, maps, and travel guides for all kinds of interests. Whether you’re into beaches, history, or nature, they’ve got you covered.

It was the perfect place to stretch our legs, grab some info, and feel excited about the road ahead. Definitely recommend making this your first stop when...

We needed to stop and stretch our legs after driving, this was a great place to stop. Clean restrooms, vending machines, even lottery tickets for sale. But most importantly the lady historian truly impressed us with her knowledge of the history of the S. C. area and she definitely knew all about the civil war and proceeded to enlighten us with stories about the war and some of the places the battle's took place. My husband is a history buff and was thrilled to hear her tales. We will stop by again on our next trip through the area. Thanks for having a safe place to stop and...

I was returning home from a trip to Georgia. I needed to stretch my legs and use the bathroom. I exited my vehicle and immediately noticed a smell of raw sewage, it was definitely not pleasant. I thought to myself this was not the impression or lasting impression that I wanted visitors to have of my home state. When traveling to Georgia I had stopped @ the welcome center on the Georgia South Carolina border. Their is such a stark contrast between the two facilities, the GA facility was well manicured astechically pleasant and well organized in short it was as different as...

My family is heading to the Myrtle beach for our vacation and decided to make a quick stop to this welcome center. The bathrooms are clean, and the place looked nice outside. The lady from the front is very nice and offered us a map and coupons to the myrtle beach. I didn't get her name, but if she read this, I wanted to say thank you again for your kindness 🙏.

Very nice rest area. The bathrooms were very clean. Also the surrounding area outside is very scenic. There's a gift shop inside the main building as well as coffee and vending machines. Plenty of parking for semi trucks and RVs. Nice places to walk around outside and look at the natural scenery. Love this place.
