I have attended church since before I could speak. When I came to AKRON, The first 13 years I went to The Chapel on FIR HILL. FOUNDED BY REV. CARL BURNHAM. LATER HIS SON TOOK OVER. I WAS 14 years old when a very Charismatic preacher visited. I suddenly was overtaken by the Holy Spirit hit me. I immediately turned my life over to the one and only Lord, through REV. BILL DENTON. That fiery evangelical preacher was the one and only Rev. Bill Denton. Was the mentor for Rev. Howard Duma! Now our community center named after him! What an awesome honor to have known him. STARTED GOING TO AKRON BIBLE CHURCH AND EVERYTHING CHANGED. I HAVE LEARNED MORE AT ABC in 10 years than I have ever learned in my life. Thank you for helping me find Joy in Jesus again. Has been my home church throughout the years. Though I moved out of state in 2009. iI was involved in the motorcycle ministry at A.B.C. for several years. My late husband Rich Griffith ewas part of praise team bands there over 12 years in the past until the later 1990"s.
