Nature Realm Visitor Center — Attraction in Akron

I have spent lots of time here. It is a great little nature center, they have lots of programs, you can watch birds and other wildlife through a large glass viewing wall, there is a really cool giant diorama of the bottom of a pond, and they have turtles and frogs on display in tanks. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about wildlife and the park. They also have a wonderful little gift shop with books, T-shirts, hats, and lots of other neat items. This visitor center is a fantastic spot to stop if you're at the Naturealm. Staff is always friendly, bathrooms are clean & there's lots of information about the park at the desk. There is a great children's area inside as well as photography displayed in one of the rooms, most of the time. Naturerealm is a beautiful place to hike or just enjoy Nature. It's free. There is a nice paved trail that goes through some of the park and the herb garden. There is a Nature Center, but it isn't always open. There are restrooms available. On the trail, if you stand quietly with birdseed in your hand, the chickadees will come and take the seed.
