This overlook is inside of the University of Alaska campus. Since it was minus 25 degree so there weren't anybody crazy enough to fight us for parking or the photo spot. But I could imagine this overlook will get busy during cruiseship season.

Even though it was a sunny day, we were not able to see the top of Denali but the scenery is still pretty. This is one place that's worth to drop by but no need to stay for...

For those wondering, Denali is barely visible from this lookout due to a nearby hill blocking the view. You can only see the top of Denali on a clear day, but binoculars would help. If you go to NE Fairbanks, the sight line is unobstructed. For example, taking HWY 2 southbound into FBX will give you a perfect view of all Denali, provided it's...

Great place to look out over Fairbanks. Supposedly, you can see Denali from here. But I haven't been able to find it yet. A sign with what your view from that spot is would be helpful. The wooden board sign gives heights of mountains, but it doesn't seem to be what you actually see...

But I could imagine this overlook will get busy during cruiseship season. Even though it was a sunny day, we were not able to see the top of Denali but the scenery is still pretty. This is one place that's worth to drop by but no need to stay for a long time.

The overlook is nearby the Museum of the North, so a short walk from the museum while parking the car in the museum parking might be easiest. Visitors can see both Fairbanks city view and multiple mountains from this outlook.
