Great moderate hike, whether you stop at Kelgaya point, or hike on to see Battery Point as well. Enjoy walking through one of the few temperate rainforests on a trail with very little elevation gain, and take in beautiful sights from both points. If you choose to continue on to battery point, if you hike (of trail) to the beach side, you will see a navigational bacon on a short tower attached to a giant battery. This is NOT why it's named Battery Point, just a comical coincidence. From battery point, you can see the muddy fresh water from the Katzehin River (from the far side of the Inside Passage, at a place where it is at its narrowest).
