We visited in March of 2023 while staying in Fairbanks. Creamer's Field was a great within the city area to hike around on the system of trails in the snow. While we tried to observe the aurora we had better luck outside of town, though we encountered a moose one night. There was an Alaska Dog Mushers Association event as well the week we stayed so we observed some of that. The visitors center was a good visit as well. Mark even brought out Blue (taxi'd wolf) for us!

Creamers Field is a great place for walks. There are so many different kinds of birds and other wildlife here during the summer. The paths and bridges are maintained decently. There are multiple different paths here that you can choose from. Some paths only take around 15 minutes to get through, and other ones can take over an hour. Overall, it's a great place for walking and birdwatching, it's also a great spot to just enjoy the outdoors.

Most people are amazed when I tell them I get to walk/run/winter bike in a bird refuge. Great opportunity to run into wildlife--quite literally. Winter trail system connects to Mushers Hall on Farmers Loop. Maintenance continues on the boardwalk, which is super cool! Bring bug spray in summer and please don't engage moose. Ever. Not kidding.

I absolutely love Creamers Field, a beautiful place and a truly inspiring story behind it. I love coming here for a walk or a run, or just to sit on a bench and bird watch. Seen everything from norther harriers to tree swallows, merlins to rusty blackbirds, and even a varied thrush once! The farm house is part museum and part office space for local ecological programs, an interesting location that's both fun to visit and informative! If you're here check out wander lake and the seasonal pond, also a great sandpiper viewing spot if you head straight down the farm road trail all the way...

Super cute and super tiny. Converted house of the original dairy farmers. Helpful staff, lots of family and kids events that you can attend for free but give donations if you can! Decorated on the inside with dairy farm memorabilia but also books, wildlife gifts made by local people, taxidermied animals and various skulls and things you can look at to learn about the local wildlife. At Christmastime they have a day with a bonfire, cider, caroling, a luminary walk and they decorate the farmhouse with lights. Definitely an attraction you...

Love Creamer's field always. The bird sanctuary is nestled in the bottom of the Tanana river valley and is home to all sorts of birds, small songbirds and beautiful waterfowl. The views of the surrounding hills are unrivaled, and the city is unnoticeable. If you are looking for a place to get wildlife viewing at a safe distance on well maintained trail this is the place. Birds of all varieties, I have seen owls, eagles, swans, and every songbird pretty much, this is an...
