Huffman Manor — Attraction in Alaska

I booked the Huffman Manor for my wedding and absolutely loved it!

Due to Covid, our original wedding in Girdwood had to be cancelled, and we needed something here in Fairbanks last minute. A friend recommended the Huffman Manor, as it was so unique and would feel like a 'destination wedding' without leaving Fairbanks. And she was right! Devin, the owner, was extremely quick to respond and very flexible with us. We ending up having a very small Zoom Wedding inside (it rained), and a small backyard reception with a few close friends. The venue is beautiful, with many different options for the ceremony and reception. If you are looking to have a small, intimate wedding here in Fairbanks, I HIGHLY recommend the Manor! We also ended up renting the whole house for the weekend, which I would highly recommend! It was so relaxing to wake up at the Manor the day of the wedding, and fun to have a few of our closest friends spend the weekend with us! It truly felt like a weekend get-away! My husband and I should have planned the wedding here in the first place!

The house itself was great! It has all of the amenities needed, and TONS of space! Beds were comfortable, full kitchen with all of the needed dishes, and lots of space to entertain. This would be a great rental for large families, or any special event! I would definitely rent this house in the future for my large family (whenever Covid allows...

Everything was absolutely PERFECT! I was able to have the fairy tale wedding that I always dreamed of thanks to Huffman Manor! In addition to having the wedding ceremony and reception, we also booked the manor to stay in for a week. It was wonderful being able to stay there with my family and spend that extra time with them and took the pressure off of needing to be in and out of a venue in a day. Jackie was wonderful and so helpful with everything on the day of. Advise for future brides: initially, I wasn't thrilled about the no shoe policy, but I ended up getting custom made barefoot sandals for myself and my bridesmaids and got matching argyle socks for the groom and groomsmen. I had a basket of gray slippers at the front door for guests to change into if they didn't want to be barefoot and everyone was given a heads up prior to the wedding. No complaints and it...
