Literally the first place I went after landing at the airport into Alaska for the first time. Was treated to pleasant weather, a big ole bull moose snoozing off the trail, and a beautiful beach looking towards giant snowcapped mountains. Just pretty. And very accessible. Highly recommend!

This is a mud beach. All gravel 🥲 there is a 17min walk from the parking lot to the entrance of the beach. So there is no easy access to this area. It’s not wheelchair accessible! That is not water in the pictures it’s straight up mud.

Beautiful place to see the sunset and walk on the beach. Do not go out on the mudflats. The planes flying over are very cool as well. The walk back up is fairly steep, so plan on it. This location is not handicap accessible

Maybe we went at the wrong time of year? Or went to the wrong area? But after the mile hike downhill to the access, we couldn't tell how to actually get down to the beach, what was safe to walk on, and what was just covered in snow. It was an extremely beautiful area, though. The mile long hike back up from the beach access point was not the funnest thing I have done lol. But we arent hikers. Yet.......

The paths were great! Paved. Very easy to maneuver passed others.

We will definitely go back when the...

Kincaid Beach Access is an absolute delight! The path leading to the beach is scenic and well-maintained, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. The beach itself is tranquil with stunning views, soft sand, and clear waters. It's a perfect spot for a quiet afternoon of relaxation or a family day out. The facilities are clean and the staff is helpful. A serene getaway that's worth...

The beach itself is a dark grey sand, just outside of that you'll find a muddy layer just before the water that you could get stuck in if you aren't careful! Aside from that, sunsets here can be gorgeous, you can make a fire and walk along the coast, maybe find some whale bones! For more photos check out my...
