Kincaid Beach Access — Attraction in Alaska

Maybe we went at the wrong time of year? Or went to the wrong area? But after the mile hike downhill to the access, we couldn't tell how to actually get down to the beach, what was safe to walk on, and what was just covered in snow. It was an extremely beautiful area, though. The mile long hike back up from the beach access point was not the funnest thing I have done lol. But we arent hikers. Yet.......

The beach itself is a dark grey sand, just outside of that you'll find a muddy layer just before the water that you could get stuck in if you aren't careful!
