This is one of the prettiest waterfalls I have hiked down to. I went after a couple days after it rained so the waterfall was decently full. The trail is not difficult until you get to the waterfall. Someone tied a rope to a few trees and it is very steep and slippery getting down to the waterfall. There was a hiker with a dog and he had to turn back as it is is very close to rock climbing to get down to the waterfall. Down was treacherous and back up was just as slippery. There is one area where the ledge you have to get to is over 4ft and due to the rain there wasn’t a place to use as a foothold. I recommend having at least one tall/strong person in your hiking group if you are going down to the waterfall. There are a few primitive camping sites one some of the outcroppings on the cliff. According to the locals it is actually Devil’s Hollow. I found this out when attempting to locate this place. There is a place where the gps is telling you to turn and it is just a dirt road and a mailbox. This is correct. Turn there and drive down as far as you can go in your vehicle and then park where you can. The dirt road is only wide enough for one vehicle so don’t block the road.

The hike to this waterfall was fairly easy and fairly short if coming from the Lake Chinabee Rec Area. The waterfall is a great swimming area with at least three nice pools.

I think this is my second review. We think it is best to do the trail clockwise. To get below the falls the rope is definitely needed.
