Alpine Marina — Attraction in Alpine

On June 20, 2020, we pulled into Alpine Marina needing to get gas for our boat that we have on the Hudson River. We needed about 200 gallons. As we pulled into the dock the manager came over to us yeling and accusing us of coming in too fast. We came into the dock idling. He refused to sell us gas and argued with us. I did advise him that he was being rude to us as customers. He still refused to provide service and yelled at us to leave and not come back. There was also another boater who threatened us that we should not rock his boat otherwise he was going to “find” us. The owner then took a video of us pulling out. We felt unsafe and horrified. By the way no one there was wearing a mask. I found the manager of Alpine Marina to be rude and arrogant. Our 100ft yacht was heading up the Hudson to Haverstraw Marina this morning with VIP guests after a wonderful stay at Jersey City’s Newport Marina. Haverstraw Marina abruptly and unexpectedly reversed their earlier invitation to let us dock and dine there, leaving us and our guests stranded and furious. Ary, Alpine Marina’s kind and softspoken dockmaster, literally laid out the red carpet for us at the last minute. I cannot recommend Alpine Marina and their gracious staff enough. Nice little marina on the Hudson River by the beautiful Palisades Interstate Park on Henry Hudson Dr in Alpine NJ. Cunnertly under renovations with new management & not open to the public til this weekend, but still were willing to help us out with the Erie Canal postponing their opening from this Fri 5/17/19 to late next week. Be sure to make it a stop when cruising the Hudson for a day trip or for the night if on the Great Loop. They have all the needed amenities with great overnight rates.
