I love the Palisades Park and am writing this to call attention to the lack of camping allowed in the park. I live in New York City and always visit by folding sea kayak or paddle board. Many portions of the park appear to suffer from a lack of resources, something that could be alleviated to an extent if the Commission would create primitive camping sites that would be accessible by paddlers and create an online permit program. It is clear also that many people camp illegally in the park. The Hudson River Water Trail Association has for years promoted the idea of a paddling trail between New York and Albany with camping sites at distances that can be covered by paddlers on a multi-day or multi-week trip. Such sites in the Palisades Park would be tremendously popular and undoubtedly raise more revenue than they would cost, especially given the ease low-cost nature of online reservation systems, this would also promote the park in a positive light among a growing population of paddlers and outfitters, making it a paddle sport destination....

I honestly have never really been to a park in NJ so this was new for me. Happy I got to go, & spend a lovely lunch together with the family. I liked that it was not dirty inside.
