I took my family kayaking for the first time ever as a family event at Hudson kayaks. We had a wonderful time! Everyone was polite, prompt and made great small talk. When you arrive you are seen by Alex first for waivers and he likes to get to know a little about you first. You might see his mini me helping at the front desk, his adorable son with a smile. After your set, you go to the dock where his lovely wife receives you and helps you board the kayaks. Alex is very keen on you enjoying your kayaking experience, to him that’s all that matters. He gave us a gift card when one of our members hopped off early. It was such a great time, I told friends about it and went back the following weekend. Greeted kindly by Alex again, the experience was consistent and just as exemplary as the first time. The second time we went, we got swept by current and went over our time slot by a bit, they watched us doing our best to kayak back in time but the breaks and current pushed us back. To no surprise, Alex and his family had huge smiles when we arrived and didn’t mention nor charge us more when we went over. They were very pleased to see my friend and I enjoying ourselves. I’m more than happy to give 5 stars to a wonderfully operated...

I am so pleased with my entire experience at Hudson Kayaks. Alex answered the phone right away, and confirmed our time slot in moments. He followed up with some texts about directions and even another call with some things to prep.

The actual equipment was amazing. The best part was honestly getting in and out. We got in on these special kayak landing platforms. Super stable and no muddy or wet feet. The platform had these wheels so he just rolled us right into the water. The kayaks themselves allowed for minimal wetness during our actual ride because they were deeper than others we’ve been in. The ride was beautiful. There are small beaches where you can ride up to and have a picnic or something, or you can just enjoy the water. There’s a small waterfall that’s beautiful to see if you go north.

When we were finished, we paddled up to this bar with docking on either side where we held on and lifted ourselves out with ease. Again, no muddiness or wetness.

We were out for an hour and a half and were charged for just that. Alex didn’t round up for another full hour or anything like that.
