I actually parked here at Oakzanita trailhead & hiked to Blue Ribbon trail head from here. Then did a loop through blue ribbon down to black horse trail and back out behind green valley falls trail and south boundary fire road. A ten mile loop with a lot of up and downs in Elevation and two water crossings, go figure here on 3Nov23 after no rain for a while. How about that. Less 1 star because we can't bring our dogs in...

Great trail, about 6 miles and 1000ft elevation gain. Shaded with taller trees half the way through. The peak is tight with boulders to pose for a click. Overall, good for a nice family hike. Will look beautiful in the spring. Grab your parking spot early...

The trail is not too rugged, so new hikers who are looking for a longer hike out east will love it. It's not a totally rocky trail that wears everyone out. It's a nice path that ends up on a cool rock formation that's great...
