What an unforgettable trip! Not many people may know about it, so few have come. The reception time seems to be short, so you may need to contact in advance if you want to visit. Beautiful Victorian style, very well preserved interior decoration. You can even see the fine dishes stored in the host's house . small crowds are more intimate ,the staff are very patient and articulate, took us to almost every corner of the house. Except for the kitchen outside, the smoke room.It also has a beautiful botanical garden for weddings.I can't wait to introduce this museum to my friends!

We were in town for a wedding and made plans to tour Avoca. I checked the website for hours and we planned accordingly. As we arrived the digital sign out front said "Open 11-3." When we walked up the path, the manual sign said "closed." We were then told it was closed due to a private event. The place looks amazing, but they should update the website AND the sign at the road when they are closed.

Avoca is one of my favorite spots to revisit! I go every year for their Mother’s Day tea and for the Christmas open house…always decorated so pretty and the home itself is elegantly designed, filled with ornate wood carving detail. So glad there are multiple functions held here during the year so the public can enjoy!

Very neat little setting. We were there for a wedding, but still got to look Through the exhibits during the reception. I would say worth doing if you don’t have small children since you can’t touch anything or sit on the antique furniture. Otherwise, informative, and interesting. They definitely put a lot of time into the maintenance and preservation...
