I hike all over the Belknap range and the reason I'm giving this a four is because the trails are so eroded from so much foot traffic and weather. Out of all the mountains in the Belknap range this has to be the most visited and is usually extremely crowded. Today it wasn't because it was raining. But the trails are just so worn out from overuse. Yes the view from the top of Lake Winnipesaukee is beautiful, but there are other mountains in the Belknap range where you can get a nice view of Lake Winnipesaukee also and the trails are in better condition.

My family really enjoyed this hike! Our youngest is 11 and he made me very nervous jumping around like a typical boy because there are some very steep and slippery areas. We took blue up and then orange down, took us 3 hours. On the way up, we started seeing the opening and thought we were at the top, then went up a bit more, thought the same thing and then finally, you'll know when you're at the top because you'll be able to see 360 degrees and it is an INCREDIBLE view! God is the best artist!

Good family hike. Can bring your kids, your dog (if it's used to people and hiking of course), and get up and down in about 3 hours (if you don't take more than about 30 minutes at the top). Without kids, maybe even faster. Trails are well maintained, there are portapotties at the trail head, several trails to choose from. Enjoy the view of lake winnipesaukee and the white mountains at the top. Pack in and out your trash, no trash barrels.

This was a fun and challenging hike. We took the main loop up it was pretty steep in places. Lots of rocks and roots. We took the detour around the ledge that was a good choice. We too the boulder loop trail down that was less steep and a good choice for us. Today was sprinkling and overcast so we didn't get to see a view. Bathrooms at the bottom. We came at the perfect time 9:30 in the morning we finished before noon the parking lot was full and people were all down the road too. Fun and challenging hike. We saw tons of...

Nice hike. We did the blue trail up and down. 2 adults and an 8 yo. Little challenging for the 8yo but worth it. Parking lot is getting work down and the start of the trail so you have to park on the main road.

Only down side are the bugs. We hiked when it was 80 and middle of June. Not sure if it was the timing but the view is nice!! We did see a few groups on the trail.

We did find a lot of dog waste bags full along the trail that no one picked up and trash in a few places. We did pick up what we could.

I...
