Moore Memorial Park — Attraction in Ames

One of my favorite parks in Ames. It’s absolutely beautiful. The big red barn and silo make for gorgeous backdrops for pictures no matter the season. I have walked miles and miles of walking paths at Moore Memorial. I have been coming here for years and plan to never stop. It’s clean, family-friendly, and a great spot to see deer, bunnies, birds, storks, etc. A large weeping willow oversees a beautiful pond with a deck. So much to enjoy here!! Can’t recommend this...

They have a playground for bigger kids and a separate toddler playground (shorter). There are trails to go on a short walk or easily make it a longer walk. Very beautiful and well maintained. The large "barn" shed makes a great location for photography. There's a gazebo and a large covered area with tables (easily 50+ people) and a smaller shelter. There's bathrooms that are open...
