The food here is so bad. I have very little cooking experience and I genuinely think I could make this better myself if given the same tools. The corn bread we had today tasted like sand. At the start of the semester they had a “special meal” for new students which ended up being the driest falafel you’ve ever had, a single lettuce leaf and some vile tasting chicken (and chicken is my favorite food so that’s saying something). Their general Tso’s chicken is so salty and flabby it’s borderline inedible. I’m almost concerned for my health when I eat this slop. They can’t even make good rice. How do you mess up rice? I believe that the food itself needs improvement in terms of flavor but that is a personal opinion. The hours for this dining commons are limited which makes things tricky during finals.
