It’s a beautiful quiet spot for a walk in an otherwise busy city.

We’re always looking for places to connect with nature. And it’s been difficult living in Anaheim as most of the area is commercialized with huge buildings and shopping malls. However, this rare trail is the perfect spot for a small walk to escape from the hustle and bustle, and just connect with yourself.

Once you get to the location, there is free street parking (which can be a little overcrowded during the weekends). You then enter a gate where concrete walks mix with sand areas and rocks to give an authentic feel. On the one side there are ample trees and shrubs as to block out the roads and houses and all other noise. And the other side has a large body of water that’s been unfortunately blocked off by a rather ugly-looking black fence.

If the fence gates were open, this ideal place would become truly inspiring. Maybe the city will take notice and create a small recreation area next to the water one day... who knows? I...

It's a nicely maintained, landscaped, and paved 1.5 mile pathway along the Santa Ana River between Ball and Lincoln. There are water fountains, bathrooms, trash cans, benches and dog waste bags. There is one entrance on each end and another in the middle.

The walk isn't particularly interesting, although there are educational placards, and there's no shade, but it's in the middle of the city and better than walking a few miles on Anaheim city sidewalks. It's suitable for walking, running, biking and skateboarding.

There's a little spur dirt road closer to the Lincoln end that will take you down to the Burris Basin if the...

Knowing the history of this place, I can only give this a 5 star rating. I've been coming to this "park" for almost 50 years. Long before a park even existed. Growing up across the street from it, we were constantly cutting the wire fence and taking our bikes and fishing poles into "the pit" as we called it back then. Now that it's a truly sanctioned and official park, I feel kind of weird walking thru there and not hiding from city workers afraid I'll be tossed out for trespassing. Hundreds upon hundreds of good memories fill this area...

Cute short neighborhood walk but lots of dog poop. The pet owners leave bags of poop under the bridge and it bursts open all over the trail under the bridge. Graffiti can get out of hand as well. People don't believe in keeping their dogs on leashes dispite the many signs that say it's the law and you must. I've seen a much bigger dog scare a tiny dog and the owners of the big unleashed dog told me they didn't think their dog needed to be leashed. What is otherwise a wonderful trail is ruined by people described above. It is a cute trail otherwise.

The Anaheim Coves is a great place to run and get some sun. The Cove offers a great long stretch of concrete for bikes and running. A great thing about the trial is the colorful amazing rocks that show you how far you've gone in the trial. The rocks span the cove for about a mile and indicate how far in the mile you've gone. They are creative and beautifully painted with great motivational words. The trail with the rocks Is called Emillias Trial
