It’s a beautiful quiet spot for a walk in an otherwise busy city.
We’re always looking for places to connect with nature. And it’s been difficult living in Anaheim as most of the area is commercialized with huge buildings and shopping malls. However, this rare trail is the perfect spot for a small walk to escape from the hustle and bustle, and just connect with yourself.
Once you get to the location, there is free street parking (which can be a little overcrowded during the weekends). You then enter a gate where concrete walks mix with sand areas and rocks to give an authentic feel. There's a little spur dirt road closer to the Lincoln end that will take you down to the Burris Basin if the...

Growing up across the street from it, we were constantly cutting the wire fence and taking our bikes and fishing poles into "the pit" as we called it back then. Now that it's a truly sanctioned and official park, I feel kind of weird walking thru there and not hiding from city workers afraid I'll be tossed out for trespassing. Hundreds upon hundreds of good memories fill this area...
