Firelake — Attraction in Anderson

I've fished here on two different occasions, both Friday nights May 24 and 31 with my wife, grandsons, granddaughter and have enjoyed both trips!

There's all night fishing on Friday nights! They were several 30-40 plus lb'ers caught on May 24! Anything over 20lbs must be released! My granddaughter caught a 17 lb'er May 31

Cost is 10/person. N Under 7 is free I believe..No alcohol allowed! The way it should be for a family oriented operation!

Management seems friendly and stocking efforts are weekly! Bait is available and prices are what you would expect for a pay fishing lake! Not outrageously high but one could save a little money on shiners, worms, livers and the such beforehand but they do have baits that are not readily available elsewhere, such as live herring, leeches etc.

They also carry a good supply of fishing supplies, hooks, sinkers, rod-holders as well as drinks, chips, candy bars and the such!

Overall, I have enjoyed both trips and until something negatively impacts this lake I will continue to patronize this...

Not a single bite. A lot of people fishing and you just about have to fish on top of people. 8 hrs fishing and I didn't see a single person get a bite or catch a fish. All the photos on line are from the catch and release ponds.As a owner you should respect a customers opinion good or bad. Seems like to me your inmature or a old fool. Let me clarify the one star. It's for the fishing experience not your facility upkeep and conditions. Beautiful facilities and location. I come for the fish nothing else. You can be negative and nasty towards a negative review but the review is accurate. But I understand it's business and negative reviews don't look good. You can't win them all. FYI I probably been fishing longer than you have lived. So throw that excuse...

The sign says it's open but there's a sign on a chair sitting in front of the door saying call this number. I called and it went straight to voicemail so I left a voicemail and said I'll wait a bit to see if someone calls me back....... About thirty ish minutes later I just left.

However, the place is beautiful. I didn't get more pictures and that sucks. I do plan to go back and I do plan on updating my review after going back.
