A great place for a relaxing quite walk or take your bike to burn some calories or a perfect place to enjoy nature ; this place offers all these options. If you have young kids, the adjacent Gallup park offers play areas , picnic shelters and boating ( currently not available due to COVID19 ). The overall walking / biking trails run for many miles along huron river on both sides. There are some unmarked fishing spots if that is your interest. Most of spring / summer and early dall weekends are quite crowded but weekdays are not. You may get to see many birds, small mamals and reptiles if you are lucky. Overall, its a perfect spot for relaxing walk. Please check the current regulations...

I looved this little park! It is also connected to Gallup Park.

I had to use the restroom and was soo glad they had some! AND not only did they have a restroom, it was HEATED!! Omg it was perfect for the 30 degree weather outside. I even stopped by before leaving, just to defrost inside!!

There are several paths (some led to a dead end but that is part of exploring) and they have some benches that were donated by families to their loved ones (the words on them were so sweet). The benches are placed in lovely overlooking areas.

I didn’t get too far but came for birding and saw Red-Shoulder Black Birds and Bluejays.

I definitely will come back! Such...

There is a lot of nature around as the name implies. There are awesome views of the river, marshlands, and two woodlands. One woodland is more open and has a lot of squirrels and chipmunks. The other is denser and has a awesome wooden walkway. If you take the Northern path you will get a really cool view of the marsh and can hear many frogs. You may see people in the south in kayaks or fly fishing...

I stopped here for a solo walk on a whim after I had a hard time finding where to park for the Ann Arbor Arboretum. I’m so so so happy I came across this gem! I love all of the views you get of the water, the boardwalk is so great, and the whole walk just has so many different vibes and there are different ways to get through it. I can’t wait to go back with my fiancé!

Don’t be fooled by the vegetation that covers most the path that leads away from the parking area. This is a wonderful little nature area/trail that will lead to Gallup park. The stretch along the water is mostly a wood boardwalk otherwise some parts are paved and other paths are dirt/rock/sand. Great place to walk your dog.
