My first visit here. Probably my last. My dog is 9 lb. Shih Tzu and Lhasa apso mixed. He was attacked within 4 minutes of us being on the other side of the gate by a cinnamon colored, white cheeks boxer. Beware 😭. The male owner did ask if my puppy was all right. I was far too traumatized by the experience it wasn't to get my dog to safety. I did not feel safe responding as I was alone. This experience was completely unexpected. I wish there was a park here for small dogs too. Maybe there is and I just didn't see it.

Decently sized dog park, both times I have gone around 3 PM and it was empty. There is a shaded area to sit and its emptiness makes it a great spot for a play date! Played fetch the whole time without distractions and got them very tired.

A consistently fun and community-minded park. Family friendly with an asphalt path around Traver Pond, great for exercising the humans.

Neighborhood park with dog enclosure, small lake, forest trails, walking loops, hills, a stream, a basketball court, soccer field, science placards, a BBQ gazebo, and a Little Free Library. Hard to imagine how you could improve on this, especially in a modest-sized park that is by no means a centerpiece or key investment of the city park system. Well done city of Ann Arbor! The only nit that I have is that I wish they did more to control the algae on the lake...

Its not just a dog park. There are trails for hiking and mountain biking as well as a pond for fishing. There is also a play area for kids and a rain shelter picnic area right next to it. Basketball courts to. The dog park is a small part. It is a nice park and i like to walk my dog around the pond as well as mountain bike the trails. I used to see deer here but since the city of Ann Arbor started their inhumane deer cull i see...
