Honey Heist Meadery and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The decor perfectly balances rustic charm with modern touches, creating a cozy yet stylish environment. Michelle, Jo, and Bob were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the different mead varieties and their unique flavor profiles, which was immensely helpful as we made our selections. Their passion for mead was evident and infectious! One of the standout features of Honey Heist Meadery is their commitment to quality and innovation. The variety of meads available caters to both traditionalists and those looking for something a bit different. We also tried the Spiced Apple Mead, which was like autumn in a glass--rich, warm, and perfectly balanced. For anyone visiting, I highly recommend the Mead Flight to sample a range of flavors. It's a great way to discover your favorites and appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into each bottle. And don't miss their seasonal offerings--they add a wonderful variety to the menu. Despite being quite busy during our visit, the staff managed everything smoothly, and we never felt rushed. Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident in every interaction. Honey Heist Meadery is a hidden gem that offers not just great mead, but also an exceptional experience. Whether you're a seasoned mead enthusiast or a curious newcomer, this place has something special to offer. We'll definitely be back, and we're excited to see what new creations they come...

We had the pleasure of attending Honey Heist's soft opening today, and we most definitely will be returning soon! Honey Heist Mead Co. is nestled deep into the hills in rural Cobden, but don't let the scenery fool you. Honey Heist touts a cozy tasting room with friendly and knowledgeable owner-operators. They proudly carry a surprisingly large range of meads from a traditional honey-only mead to interesting and unconventional brews inspired by jam, and even a couple that boast a healthy kick of spice. We sampled eight of their offerings, some permanent fixtures on the menu, as well as a seasonal and a couple carbonated as well. What surprised me most was the level of craft and love you can tell has been put into each and every different recipe. None of the meads we sampled were too similar to another, and all of them were true to the tasting notes we were expecting to experience. You don't have to know mead to know they're brewing gold...but trust me, they are. Southern Illinois has sorely been lacking in the mead department until now. Honey Heist's owners know mead in and out, and definitely are a spot to keep your eyes on in the future. If you're looking for something a little different to try, head on over and try a flight. I promise you won't be disappointed, and if you're anything like us, you will also leave with a couple bottles...

I can't say enough positive things about Honey Heist! They offer a fantastic selection of meade, to include my newest favorite “The Miracle Worker” The name is perfect, after a long week of work I needed to relax and a miracle happened that night! I had this particular selection for the first time and the hint of basil hits the tastebuds that I never knew existed! Keeps you wanting more and you literally can’t get enough. After two glasses, you are beyond relaxed. Customer service was top notch, specifically Michelle G. (One of Three Owners) who assisted me with my order and gave me this great recommendation. Her professionalism and knowledge of the Meade process was beyond impressive. During the order process I told her about my love for Napa Valley Wine and shared a recent trip I did to Napa Valley. I expressed to her my frustration with the cost of hiring driver’s through out the week and how I wished a winery would have some sort of hotel on property. As I said this, she chuckled, the proceeded to tell me they actually thought problem. Their solution was to have a VROB ON PROPERTY!!! To say the least, I’m booking this summer and I am more than excited to check this unique gem in Southern Illinois out! Great Product and Thank...

I was hearing so much about this company that I knew I had to look them up. What I found is that they are not in my state or even close to me. But I was curious after a friend brought a few bottles to a Christmas party I attended. I tasted juice joint, miracle worker and the heathen , he said it wasn’t wine that it was mead and I was so confused. But I knew enough to know I had to figure out how to get more. Figured out they had a shipping option. Needless to say I went a little overboard and brought at least 1 of every flavor and doubled up on what I loved. I’m disappointed the physical location isn’t near me, because I follow them on Facebook and the flavors only available in the tasting room might make me book a flight. What a cool concept. Happy to have found this company. I stocked up enough I shouldn’t have to ship any more for a while. Cheers everyone , enjoy this hidden gem as I know I am.
